YOUNG FAMILIES - PLAN YOUR VISIT

  • Our Saturday at 4pm performance has a shorter run time (90 minutes) and may be more appropriate for younger children. The Sunday 2pm performance has a run time of 120 minutes.

  • Children under three years old are not recommended; however, every child is different, and families may use their best judgment on whether they anticipate their young children can remain seated during the performance.

  • Children under two years old do not need a ticket if in the lap of a parent/guardian.

  • Any child in a seat requires a ticket. For families with very young children, we recommend seats closer to an aisle and towards the back of the theatre so that you may quietly escort any children to the lobby for a wiggle or bathroom break.

  • Bay Area Youth Ballet’s Coppélia and the Magic Toy Shoppe production is based on the original classical ballet whose storyline was inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s “The Sandman.” The ballet Coppélia premiered on May 25, 1870, at the Paris Opera in Paris, France.

  • At Bay Area Youth Ballet, we desire to educate the next generation of theatre-goers and spark an interest in the performing arts. Please partner with us in teaching your child(ren) all about going to a theatre production. Check out our Theatre Etiquette tips below!
