Bay Area Youth Ballet is searching for the right individuals to become part of its Board of Directors!

When Bay Area Ballet Conservatory opened in March of 2018, one of the forward looking goals was to later establish a non-profit pre-professional youth company that would foster an appreciation for the performing arts within our community with high quality performances and programs. BABC’s youth company - Bay Area Youth Ballet - has recently been established as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.

We are seeking three individuals with an interest supporting the mission and vision of BAYB by adding to our volunteer Board of Directors / Members at Large. On the horizon will be an additional recruitment of a Parent Volunteer Guild.

Qualifications/Responsibilities/Expectations For Board of Directors / Members At Large:

  • Have a passion for performing arts education

  • Support the mission, work, programming, directors, dancers, and staff of BAYB

  • Commit to a minimum one season (Aug-June) of service

  • Attend and contribute to quarterly meetings, held Friday evenings either in-person or virtual meeting.

  • Ability to work as a member of a team and to bring critical thinking, leadership, clear communication

Additional Desired skills/interest/expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Fundraising

  • Non Profit Management

  • Development

  • Marketing and promotion

  • Financial / Accounting

  • Legal
