Bay Area Youth Ballet is searching for the right individuals to become part of its Board of Directors!

We are seeking individuals* with an interest in supporting the mission and vision of BAYB by adding to our volunteer Board of Directors / Members at Large or Advisory Board Members.

Qualifications/Responsibilities/Expectations For Board of Directors / Members At Large:

  • Have a passion for performing arts education

  • Support the mission, work, programming, directors, dancers, and staff of BAYB

  • Commit to a minimum one season (Aug-June) of service

  • Attend and contribute to quarterly meetings, held either in-person or virtual meeting.

  • Ability to work as a member of a team and to bring critical thinking, leadership, and clear communication

* Please note: To minimize potential conflicts of interest, Board of Directors cannot be related to youth company dancers in Levels 5 & 6. We encourage those parents interested instead to reach out about lother volunteering opportunities. Thanks for understanding!

Advisory Board Members’ desired skills/interests/areas of expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Fundraising

  • Nonprofit Management

  • Development

  • Marketing and promotion

  • Financial / Accounting

  • Legal

  • Donor Management
